Going to be our 6th yr in alabama and have yet to see a rattlesnake of any kind. But last summer I did get a pic of a gopher tortoise on a gravel rd last summer in Monroe co.
I've lived in NE AL all my life, and I've only seen 1 or 2 rattlesnakes in the wild.
Copper heads on the other hand...
