I had a galaxy s5 for several months. SOB was WAY smarter than I was. Hard as hell to operate. I lasted about 3 months until it went the way that all smartphones go for me: to the grave. I tear one up about every 4-6 months.
If you want user friendly, iPhone.
If you care at all about downloading Disney apps for your kids or grand kids then 100% get the iPhone. I got my two little girls Nabi's (kid tablets) that run on a Droid operating system and I promise that Walt Disney and Bill Gates have some sort of an agreement...there ain't much as far as Disney that currently works on an Android operating system.
I've torn up both iPhone's and Galaxy's....so I don't have a recommendation on the durability
Why are you getting rid of the flip phone? I am thinking of going back to one.
