rumor has it you can use toothpaste to recondition them. I haven't tried it but plan on it soon.
I used to have HID 6000's (the bluish ones - the higher the number, the more blue but less bright they are). I really liked them from the driver's point of view - they lit the road up great, but they require ballasts and they interfered with the radio when on.
