Ok...I have either a dumb question or a brilliant idea....here goes:

What if you put a bunch of foam or something soft under the nest (if I remember correctly, it is only 4-5 feet off the ground.). Think ninja mode. No lights, tippy toeing. Assuming you get this part done....could you not cut the limb that the nest is attached to off of the tree, let the nest fall onto said foam, and run like hell (not in that order)...

So, the question is, will the hornets still stay in a nest that is laying on the ground or will they go find a new home?
