There is an old cemetery on our lease in walker county. There are around 50 graves with death dates ranging from 1820's to 1920's. It is about 30 yards from the nearest logging road. It is completely grown up around it. Seems like they logged all around and possibly on too off it the last time it was cut which was probably 20-30 years ago. There do seem to be a few mature pines right in the middle of it that might have been left. Just wandering what, if any, responsibility the timber company might have toward this cemetery. Would they be allowed to harvest Tue timber around it if it meant disturbing the head stones? I have heard of small family plots out in the middles of the woods before but there are at least 50 graves out there.
