when my son got his licence i let him drive my old tacoma, 97 4x4. 180000 miles on it. he just had to put gas in it. when he moved to new york city 2 years ago i took it back over. i drive it one or 2 times a week to work to jeep in in shape. other than a few rust spots on the hood its still a good looking truck when i wash it. it has 282000 miles on it, however when he was driving it raditor messed up and blew the motor. it had 225000 miles on it then, got a used motor and put it in and still drives good. i have had it for 14 years come october. if and when he moves back i will let him drive it again until he gets something to drive and take it back over.
