Anybody hunted there? Got drawn for April 1 hunt units 11, 12. Was wondering if there was many Turkey there. Hunted a deer youth hunt there several years ago, but didnt see, or hear any turkey. Alot of deer but no turkey.

No idea what unit but a friend of mine heard some gobble there a couple of weeks ago while deer hunting.

I’ll be following this thread as I’m going the following weekend. Units 13-14. 14 is the southern unit on the river. Already several of y’all have PMd me and I appreciate the information. Looking forward to it.

Question, there’s 15 total units I believe , I have two assigned to me, does that mean there will be at least 6 other assignments for that weekend or do they not fill all the sections for every hunt? Just curious.

They alternate the sections so they won’t all be full

Use to be loaded. That is prime old timber in there so can’t see why it wouldn’t be.

Plenty of birds. Good thing you got April 1, cause it will get tough after that. That’s 30 minutes farther south than most of my hunting grounds. We try to be wrapped up by April 10th, or sooner.
