A Nautilus Wake boat. Spurge and get the updated sound system. Then show it off to all the fishermen who are anchored or slow trolling. They will wave at you when you go by. But for some reason, most of them have lost all but one finger.

A friend of mine bought two of those 200 or so hp Honda motors for his gulf boat and could not get any water time at all between being in the shop. He finally had somebody be honest with him and figured out they were car motors mounted vertically and they wouldn't oil correctly. Cost him thru the nose.

I’ve got an 07 Cobalt 222–if your wanting a nice boat look at the cobalts. It rides great and is way too fancy for me on the interior but the women love it lol. It’s got a mercruiser in it, cruises at 3500 rpm around 32mph real nice. If I need to outrun a storm it will hit 55 in a split second. I’ve been very happy with it—very roomy and no wasted space. 4 adults and a few kids would have plenty of room.

I will add this about my mercruiser, it’s a 350. It will suck down 30 gallons in a hurry if the boat is loaded down heavy. I count on $100 in fuel costs anytime I go to the lake but I do ride a lot compared to most. The motor itself has been flawless however.

I had a 350 in my previous wake boat. It was fuel injected but would drink gas something awful. We traded it in last year on one that has a 6.2L in it. It has 50 more HP but gets much better fuel economy. With a 60 gallon tank we can usually ride around for 2-3 weekends between fill ups.

Bigger motors in boats almost always use less fuel because they don't have to work as hard.
