Who has used this stuff? I read through the booklet on the gallon jug pretty closely and it has some specific instructions. Wasn't expecting that, was planning on mixing and spraying. Anything I really need to know about using this stuff or is it pretty much like any other chemical as far as mixing and application?

Poison Ivy/Oak and Privet Hedge. I walked into the coop and asked for something to kill Privet Hedge and that was what I was given. Supposedly its good for woody browse/ broadleaf weeds. I'm not getting close to my clover with it.

Just making sure it wasnt for your yard. Just follow the mixing instructions for the weed/plant u are trying to control or kill and mix accordingly

if it's in the 2,4-d class stuff...just be careful of spraying when its warmer than 80deg(?). That stuff can vaporize and "move" on ya. 257 can prob give more insight..

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Roundup will kill Privet if you mix a strong solution. After the 2011 tornadoes I had a bunch of it come up along my fence. Sprayed it from my backpack sprayer and it dies in a couple of weeks.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

You need Polaris AC to kill privet and spray it in the fall when the plants storing nutrients for the winter. I'll look up the AI in Relegate.

Just looked up the Relegate label it's Generic Garlon so you're good to go on ivy and Privet. Use a 1% solution and add a touch of Diesel to the mix.

Does the diesel serve as a surfactant?

What would you consider "a touch" to 50 gallons?

Not to be disagreeable, but I would not use diesel with most any foliar spray. You would be better off going with a good methylated seed oil (MSO) or oil blend. Diesel can burn the leaves too quickly and cause the plant to defoliate, resulting in poor herbicide uptake. Also, you will burn any desirable grass or plant around the plants you spray. I don't recommend using diesel unless you are spraying something like prickly pear or doing basal stem applications.

If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.

Didn't say it wouldn't work. Just that I wouldn't use it and told him why. Why not use something that is specifically made for the purpose?

Because most co ops or stores have no clue what methylated seed oil is and diesel costs a whole lot less.

I've got a surfactant that they recommended using along with the relegate
