Who has ever used it and what was your experience with it?

Made me tired the next day. Loss of balance and coordination into the next day too. Will make you sleep though. Don't stay up talking to anyone because you won't remember what you told them the next day.

You talking about Ambien? If you are it is good stuff if you use it for what it was intended. Makes you sleepy, but also makes you goofy. Get in bed when you take it and stay there.

Ambien will make you sleep like a rock ! If you take it and don't go straight to bed you'll do stupid things like go outside naked and knock on your neighbors door, shoot up your house with an AR and get arrested by a SWAT team. Google crazy Ambien side effects. Some of the stories will amaze you.
BTW. The two examples I gave , I responded to when I was a LEO.

Must be some good stuff cause my buddy said his wife took it and that when he went to bed she was talking smack to him and telling him to come get it and he did so the next day she swears she didnt do nothing but sleep.he told me she never has taken it again.

I haven't taken the CR but have taken regular Ambien. The first few nights I could tell as soon as it started to kick in and I slept well all night and woke up early with no groggy feeling. Once I had taken it for a couple of nights I would fall asleep quickly but wake up 3 to 4 hours later. After about a week I could take it and stay awake all night with no real side effects.

I've thought about asking my Dr about the CR but I'm concerned with it having a hangover effect.

I just looked online and you need to look at the side affects and the story from some of the users of ambiet. some crazy things people did while taking this stuff.

Ambien is some "bad stuff". I would not recommend it unless it is a last choice. Mother used to use it and it would put her to sleep. Next day she was in hangover mode for half the day.

Ambien is the greatest thing since sliced bread. A couple years ago I got to where I could not sleep at night for more than an hour or so at a time. My thoughts wouldnot turn off long enough to sleep. Needles to say no sleep made the stress a whole lot worse. Doc perscribed me Ambien and I have nothing but peaceful nights now. I keep it in the drawer beside my bed and take it when I lay down. I usually make it through the tonight show monolog and then sleepy time. I wake up around 5:30 without a clock every morning. No hangover, ready for the day.
My brother in law takes the CR (timed release). The regular Ambien I take gives you a does to put you to sleep. He still wakes up 3-4 hours later with it. The CR gives you the initial dose and then another dose a couple hours later to keep you asleep. Some folks need that second dose.

Never had a single issue or hangover from mine. I only take a half most times though and not every night just when I really need to.

Seems as is usual...people react differently to meds. Sounds like you need to do some serious checking before trying.

If Ambien is too much for you but you stillneed something to help you stay asleep, have your doctor prescribe Amitriptyline. I take one or two 10mg per night and sleep real good, wake up if there's a noise that should wake me up and have no side affects at all. Plus it's generic and dirt cheap. My copay is never more than $3. 10mg is the lowest dosage available so I know I'm not putting much drug into my system.

If you can't sleep try some natural remedies first - this stuff is a halucinogen and they don't recommend taking it over two weeks at a time but everyone I know that takes it does it every night. It affects everyone differently. Take it when you lay your head on the pillow and stay put. It can make you do/say/email/text/post some crazy stuff. Per the warnings DO NOT take it if you snore heavily - it can make you quit breathing. I took it for just a few weeks back when I had cancer and the meds were making me not sleep. I remember having a nightmare where I could not breath. I was terrified and could not wake up. I finally gasped for a big breath and woke myself up. Never took it again.

Yep! Only time i was on jury duty...lady had a single car wreck and was charged with dui (narcotics). I believe our trial was her second appeal try? She got on the stand and rattled off all these pain meds she had to take each morning to "function"...then finished with "and I took an ambien before I left". I wanted to jump up and scream GUILTY!! Took us about 15 seconds to get a guilty verdict.

ME too! I have 2 fused up discs. I took it after a 4 day without sleep week. I had a nightmare that i was floating above myself in bed, i could not wake myself up. I have never taken it again!

I took it a couple years ago. Took one, did not go straight to bed. I had my truck parked in the back yard and remember seeing things moving inside the truck. Opened the door and went to sleep in the truck. According to the wife that was keeping an eye on me out the window, I was actually in the back yard about an hour and a half walking around all stupid. Flushed the rest of the meds..

For the guys who can't sleep do you stay up after 9-10 watching movies/playing games or anything along those lines. Reason I say that I used to watch tv then jump up and try to go to bed never could. Now I stay outside till nearly dark in the yard come inside eat then shower and I'm ready to go to sleep. No tv in the bedroom black out shades on the windows ceiling fan running on low.

Never tried ambien but doc gimme lunesta after a surgery so i could sleep.Stuff knocked me out!I woulda slept for 3 days if everyone woulda left me alone.When i did get up i felt like a runover dog turd.I took it a few more times but finally got back to sleeping normal.

Glass of home made muscadine wine will do wonders after a good supper.
