We roosted a bird last nigh and got set up this morning and I felt we had a real good shot at killing him. He was still in the tree and we had two coyotes come in from the opposite way. Normally I would have taken them out but my son is the only one of us to kill a turkey this year so I really wanted to get this one and felt we had a really good chance. So I spook the coyotes back the way they came from and they run off. Then about 20 minutes later a hen appears out of no where. She flies up to the gobbler and they go and pich down across a big creek not on our property. Guess I should have shot the coyotes

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Update-yes I definitely now have he bad JuJu. My son went back later today with my dad who is not a turkey hunter and he called up and killed his first one by himself. It was a jake but I am still very proud of him. He is just 13 but becoming a very good woodsman!

I passed a coyote up yesterday at 15 yards, first time I've ever done that. I just couldn't make myself shoot with two birds gobbling 100 yards away. I went back today and killed both birds crazy

I did shoot another coyote on the 3rd day of the GA season at 10 steps.
