Just a two year old but I'll take one every day.

Congrats Al!!! It's hard to beat this turkey hunting when it's like that. Mine on the other hand, has been sucking. I had a bird that I should have killed this morning but he handcuffed me by me making a dumb mistake. I was trying to get closer to a bird that was way off and had stopped to call to see where he was. I let out a yelp and he gobbled about 300 yards away but another one gobbled about 75 yards in front of me. I had to dive for cover and couldn't see squat. He came right in but I couldn't see him. He finally got spooked and left, never to be heard from again. I knew better than to call without being in a spot I could get setup.

I killed #2 yesterday morning. A good 3 year old with a double beard. Had a heck of a morning. Called a bird up for my oldest son early then left and went to another place and doubled up with a buddy of mine. Three guys, three turkeys.

Congrats Tye! That bird should score pretty good. Post em on the kill page so next time Yekrut updates the scores, everyone will see what they're up against. We have our boots on their throats right now.

Congrats to Al and Ty. Stuck on my long run at work right now. I will be back out there looking for upgrade birds next Friday. In the mean time yall keep tossing them on the pile. Maybe we can demoralize some of these other teams enough to have them sleeping in rather than rolling out of bed at 4am. LOL!

I'm done guys as for my hunting. I'm going to take Ned (3 Toe) tomorrow before I leave for Louisiana. I owe him after his help with my TSS shells this year. I will be heading north for my Midwest swing as soon as I return home. I have IL on the slate first then it will be KY, IA and MO. Maybe I can get us a couple Midwest upgrades out of my trip.

Squeaky I know the southern turkeys are breathing a little easier now. Be careful and when you get back go shoot us one of those 27 pound double bearded midwestern upgrade birds. LOL!

Had to take a little break guys and catch up on some things I've neglected the past few weeks. The next two days will be spent trying to get my boy on a bird. Hopefully we can double up and make some special memories. Good luck to everyone and break the 1000 mark.

Busted #3 Saturday afternoon. A good heavy 3 yr old. Had a hell of a hunt Saturday morning trying to get my buddy JCJ a bird. Went to a place I haven't been all year after not hearing a bird on the river where we started. Called up 8 different long beards in a 30 minute stretch. A group of 4 out in front of us as a group of 3 came in from behind us and ended up in the field at 35 steps to our right. They all left without a shot being fired. Too much confusion trying to double up. Still can't believe it. Called a lone gobbler up from across the field just to have him hang up at 40 steps under a terrace. Went back there this morning but never got out of the truck for the rain.
