Depends on the cart...mine was big and had a long heavy steel bed...took a 9' r. Most standard carts will fit on a 8.

I don't know about a golf cart, but I hated the 5x8 I had, I would go at least 5 x 10, everything always seemed too long for the 5x8. I agree, go 5x10... Unless you already have a 5x8, then I guess just measure the cart.

I've got a club car ds with the fold down rear seat and it takes up my whole 5x10 trailer. Pretty sure it wouldn't fit on a 5x8 without the rear seat
