Well its only 1000 so it wont be too long of a milstone post but here goes. About 10 years ago I found myself trying to graduate college after 8yrs of night classes and working construction. My wife had just left me and I was single, new to a brand new job market and and financially busted. I literally would get home from work and shine lights into the garden to find something I could fry for supper. I would have starved that year without that little truck patch. I got use to being single and started down a rough road of partying and whoring around. I'm scared of where I might be now had that lifestyle continued. I had decided to calm it down and stop all the clubbing when my buddy called to ask if I was going out to our normal spot. I said "no I'm done", he said well Christy was wanting to know. Christy and I had worked together in High School and I always thought she was really cool and a looker but we never dated. She always thought I was sexy and one hell of a hunk of a man(Not sure about this but it makes the story better). I had seen her out with her boyfriend the weekend before, who she dumped that week and called my friend to see if she could meet us. "OH that Christy" I said to my friend. Yea what time because I can quit clubbing next weekend. I guess you could say WE hit if off quickly. That was in April, we were engaged by the fall. We (Her, Her daughter age 6, and I) moved in together. I focused on my job teaching and coaching and started back hunting and fishing again. She fully supported these hobbies and saw the joy it brings me and even encouraged me. So I started looking for a new club and got on ALDEER. I use to have another screen name JDhunter something but, something happened and I had to start over with a new account. Still pissed I lost 4pts in that deal. LOL Fast forward till the present and Christy and I will celebrate 8 years of marriage in July. My step daughter who was 6 is now 15. We have two other girls ages 2 and 6. I Teach High School Science and presently I'm only Coaching Football. I was a Head Baseball coach for a while and had great success but Im taking the springs to fish and watch my girl play tee-ball. I still try to hunt or fish every week but with the kids small not nearly as much as I use to. I will be an aldeer member as long as I can find a computer. So there you go my Milestone Post. Hope this is what it takes to get kicker on that rack! LOL P.S. Im sure JDbowhunter will have a smartazz comment but that's ok we grew up playing ball together and occasionally lie about fishing.
Its not the will to win but the will to prepare to win!

Good story! But I can't believe you did not tell everyone how many hula hooping contest you have won. Man card violation or not he's hell with a hula hoop. Maybe a Mod will change your 6pt to a hula hoop trophy or something.
It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!
