WAY TO GO!!
Hope your dad was there as well to share the hunt!!!
How about a little more of the story, ie. did he gobble much, fly off the roost to you, come running in with a bullseye on his head daring you to shoot, etc?
God Bless, David B. Sure BOFF. Dad was there. We set up about 10 yards apart in the "Y" of a road leading to a creek and a food plot. The bird didn't sound off until well after sun rise. It was about 7:15 when he hit his first note. He gobbled at every crow that flew over I guess. I did a soft series of tree yelps and got no response. I waited a few minutes and tried again. No response (although he was responding well to crows overhead). After a few more minutes I tried my MAD Boom Box. Nothing. As an act of desparation I pulled out my secret raspy triple reed. He couldn't handle it. He cut me off, pitched out, ran as hard as he could, stopping to spit and drum along the way. He did this all the way to my gun barrel.
