We've talked a lot about mounting trail cams up above the line of sight of deer to disturb them less. I've been doing this in some locations for several years and it's gotten much easier as the trail cams have gotten smaller, but I've missed some good pics because sometimes it is hard to get the angle right and it never fails that I can't find the right size stick to lodge behind the camera to get that angle I need. If you've had this same issue, keep reading... I found this easy method to mount most trail cams and it works regardless of if your camera's mount is on the bottom of the cam or the back. You will need: **3 large washers (I used 1/4" washers with ~1.25" outside diameter) **1 hex bolt with wing nut (I used a 1/4" hex that is 1.25" in length) **1 screw in eye bolt that is 2-4" in length **1 threaded eye bolt and wing nut that is 2-4" in length and fits your camera's mounting thread (most cams are 1/4", but my M-80s are 5mm) Here is the final product:

Obviously, I threw a coat of paint on this one. Notes: **You don't have to use wing nuts, but I find them easier because you will need to tighten everything on the fly every once in a while and it's just much easier this way. **If you Moultrie guys that have the 5mm inserts on your camera have trouble finding a 5mm eye bolt, there is one place I found some. Will cost you more, but I bought several and it makes the shipping more affordable than if you were just buying one. Maybe a few of you can order together. 5mm eye bolt on eBay
