I'll be in Randolph, Chambers, Cleburne, and some at Choccolocco and Talledega National Forest. A friend and I added about 2000 acres of private land we didn't have last year so probably a lot less public land this year.

Me and my son checked cams and listened a little this morning at my farm in Pickens Co. Heard two close by and every cam had picks of strutters. We didn't hunt this property much last year. Hope we get two or three off of it this season.

Went to my lease in North Tuscaloosa Co. this mornig walked under one roosted just in side the gate and heard one other.

I will be in Montgomery, bullock, Elmore, Crenshaw, and Lamar counties
Then to Nebraska in may

Watched 9 longbeards in a greenfield with 3 hen yesterday while at 1 of my places

Does anyone think the temperature dropping is going to effect us on Saturday morning? 44 and overcast where I am hunting is the forecast.

I think the low pressure might have more of an affect than the temp will. That being said I went yesterday to a spot I know there are plenty of birds and only heard one bird gobble 3 times in the tree. They just don't seem that fired up yet around here. Hopefully that'll change by sat.

Going to be tough hunting this weekend. I knew those plot watchers were going to come in handy when I started running them about a month ago.

Ok!! Getting close!! Now we all need to have a positive attitude!! The weather will be fine on Saturday and everyone will connect !!!!

Good luck team!! Hope you guys that are going Saturday have a great hunt. I'm trying something new because I've got to be at my office. I've located a bird in Nat Forest on my way to my office. Wonder what time I need to be parked where I heard bird. I've never liked hunting where I don't know who may walk up on me or be where I planned to hunt.

A buddy of mine called about 15 mins ago said the birds in Pickens Co. were gobblin there heads off he had heard 20 all ready. Good Luck Everyone!!

Ok 45 min I am headed to the camp unless I can sneak out early. I will be off the grid until Sunday afternoon. Then I will be cooking my baby girl (25) her birthday dinner. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY





MORNING THUNDER

Any luck for team 6 today? I went and heard 3 but they didn't like me.

A small rainstorm before daylight seemed to shut them up this morning. Nobody around us heard much of anything.

Dead silence in Marion co today. Not one gobble that I could hear. Covered 1100 acres and not a peep. Oh well... On to Texas!

Someone must have told the turkeys about my new choke / shell combo and they went in to hidding did not hear a thing in Tuscaloosa Co. did hear about 6 different shots just no turkey
