I don't live in the city. But just 30 minutes ago I came home and there was a car load of shady guys sitting in the road in front of my house with an old truck pulled up beside them. The truck had to pull forward so I could get by . Don't know what kind of deal was going down but I pulled my pistol out just in case and slowly went by the car. I live on a short dirt road with very little traffic so i know they were up to no good .they could have had their meeting on down the road where nothing is at but they were right on front of my house. it was dark so I couldn't see very well. I got a bad feeling and didn't want them to know that was my house so I didn't turn in. I went down the road about 100 yards and turned around. Came back so my lights were shining in the Window so I could see them. The truck took off immediately. Don't know what I was gonna do but luckily the car took off before I got there.

My point is you just never know. What if the truck had blocked me in and 7 guys rolled out on me?

I never know where ill wind up. My truck broke down a few years ago headed into Birmingham from T-town about 1:00am on a Saturday night. I pulled off of I59 into a gas station/convenience store that was jumping with democrats and hiphop blasting from more than one jacked up car with 22in rims. It was the kinda place that i really wouldn't want to be at high noon. I sure wasn't crazy about being there listening to 50 cent at 1:00am. Did i mention the full moon? I was a fish out of water for sure. Didnt need my handgun that night but it sure made me feel better to have it.

I can't carry, I'd shoot someone... I do have something, just not that. Had a moron ride my ass here in the country while switching duck huntin spots, bout run me off the road when he passed and cut me off while flipping me the bird because I was doing the speed limit. I tapped the brakes and remembered my dog in back, pissed me off. Needless to say, I caught up to him, he pulled over pointing mace at me. I laughed and moved my shotgun outta the way so he could see me a little better. I think he pissed his drawers.

I carry every day. I read about innocent people being killed everyday by criminals who don't think it's too much trouble for them to carry a gun. I have one in my pocket that I forget is there and one tucked between the seats in my car. I can't think of a single reason not to carry.

I carry everyday everywhere (when I owned a gun ). Deal with the public a lot in some rough places and a few bad dogs

best i can say is , better to have it and not need it than not have it and need it . if we don't protect ourselves then who will ?

i care nothing for putting my life in some ones else hands . do you know if you call the law the supreme court has ruled that they don't even have to show up .

I carried one everday for 2 years 24 hours a day in a neighborhood far worse than most on here could imagine. Heck maybe yall have seen them in the news from the comfort of your couch with every door locked. Baghdad, Tikirit, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. I had a coworker who carried every where he was shot in the back after he got his check cashed ....killed in the parking lot in selma over a few hundred dollars.....his weapon would not have saved him

I didn't say I didn't keep protection in a vehicle. I will keep one close when I go to town for sure. I am glad I don't have to work where a lot of you guys work.

I was a cop for several years. So much goes on that the general public has no clue about. Even in small towns with no red lights. If you think it can't happen to you. You are DEAD wrong my friend. I work in the Ham. I carry every day.

I do not carry one because if I did I would without a doubt go to jail for killing a bunch of low life no good democrats.

About two years ago a guy was robbed in daylight at 5 points gas station, Scottsboro. There are burglaries all the time out here. I personally know two women who were raped/ attempted rape victims in the Rosalie area.
I've had to call the law twice myself. One night i kept seeing lights in the window. I live on a dead end road. A car was cruising by and looking at my house. They turned in my drive several times. I called the sheriff and it took them at least 15 min to get there.

Like they always say, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

I carry a 9mm everywhere and have four shotguns spread around the house. I'm too old to argue with idiots anymore.

I carry every single day and I have been doing so since I was 19. Putting my glock on is just like grabbing my wallet or keys it's part of my everyday routine. Thank The Lord I've never had to use it to protect myself or anyone else but if the time ever comes that I do need it I want to have it with me. You never know when that time will come but it can happen anytime at anyplace.

I carry when I can but I work on redstone arsenal and it's a no no out there. I live in a fairly quite one stop light small town and this mornings events are exactly why I carry. There is an extensive man hunt going on for an escaped fellon, federal Marshall's have been after this guy in texas and Georgia and now New Hope, AL. He is considered armed and dangerous. He wrecked his stolen vehicle about a mile from my house this morning running from the law.


I always carry when I ain't at work and my house is protected.
