Heck of a semi-auto shotgun. I've got one & I love it, never failed me.

I love mine. Great all purpose gun--killed everything from long beards to doves. I've put mine through the ringer and never had a bit of problems out it. Highly recommend this gun.

I bought one of the 2 barrel/2 stock combos several years ago. I wish I had spent a little extra money and bought something different. The only real issue I have with mine is that I will not reliably cycle heavy turkey loads (2 oz).

Bought my son the M3000 which will shoot 3" shells. Had a few issues on light loads during break in but been running fine since. Light and heavy loads are cycling fine.

Everyone I know of or heard of owning one either loves it or hates it. Seems they had huge gaps in quality. You either got a solid one that ran like a champ or you got a boat paddle that would shoot on occasion. Personally I'd find a good used gun before a new Stoeger

I *THINK* some of those issues have been worked out with the M3000 and M3500. I hear much better reviews on the 2 new versions.

I've got a 2000 and its killed a BUNCH of animals. I used it so much the hydrographics wore off it. Its literally been thru hell and the only time I had problems in the 8 years I've owned it was last year on opening day of dove season. I hadn't cleaned it in a while and I guess as much as I was shooting it stopped wanting to cycle the light loads. I highly recommend it.

I have had the same experience as bowtarist... occasionally fails to cycle light loads. Usually, a good cleaning gets it going fine again. I like mine a lot.

Benelli\Beretta says that they have less percentage of M2000's come in for service work than any other shotgun they manufacture.

Hmm. Where did you read that if you don't mind me asking? Not saying it isn't true at all,but it is hard to reason why a company would admit that they have more problems out of their top of the line guns than their entry level shotguns. Then again that could be due to there being a larger number of their high end guns out there than the m2000

I had one for awhile. I loved the way it handled but if you didn't keep it very clean it would jam. I also had problems with it not firing pin not strike properly. I know of a few others also having this problem. I have heard that they would fix this problem.
