I put 265/75R16's on my son's truck back in August of last year. No complaints so far.

I was thinking about buying a set of them for a Toyota I am building 35/12.50/15. Do you know how they do in the snow ? I found them on tirebuyer a while back, but are unavailable for my shipping area.Found them on another site for $80 less shipped.

I got 285/70/17 goodyear duratracs on F150 and so far I got 40,000 on them with prob 15,000 more tread to go. They look alot better than any cooper or mastercraft too.

I dont run tires based on looks. I look at performance and durability. And selling tires for a living Good Years are junk.

My brother runs a tire shop here in Auburn and put 285 AT3's on my silverado 2 summers ago and they have barely worn any and i travel from Auburn to Montgomery a lot. They also perform very well off road. No complaints from me.

I am running Falken Rocky Mtn ATS in 285/75-16 on my 2000 Chevy z71 reg cab. The ride like a highway tire and got me around lease. Wasn't my first second or even fifth choice in tires but the deal I got I couldn't refuse.

Doekiller- Have you looked at the Nitto Terra Grabblers? I've for them on my F150 and have gotten around 50k on them with a little left to go.

I'm putting 275/65/20 Trail Grabblers on in the next month or so.

I have but they are a lot more expensive than the coopers.

Scott them damn AT3 better be some damn good tires. I wasn't even looking at them and I just ordered a set
Because of this thread. Tire direct is where I found them the cheapest. They even beat their own price. 245/75/16 to my door for $455. They ought to jazz my wife's old explorer up some.

I am going to order me some next week. Cheapest I found the 265-75-16 was at simpletire.com. (Thanks Swampy) $571.34. The mastercraft were $515.98 delivered. They were $679.00 at discount tire direct. I am going to call them and see if they will match the price since I have bought from them before.

I hit the 'match price' button and they called me back in 12 hours. Turns out that they were cheaper after shipping cost added but he still sweetened the deal by $20.

I run a tire shop in Greenville if anyone needs a deal on tires. You may want to look at the Wild Country XTX Sport. You would be looking at around $630 installed with lifetime rotate and balance, flat repairs and road hazard. Plus buying from your local tire store helps keep the money in the community. Remember who, buys the ads in the local football programs, sponsor the local little league teams and will stay late to fix that flat for you so you can head off to the hunting club for the weekend. Just my 2cents. thumbup

I'm not very tire savy, I've had the BFG's on my Dailey driver for the past 8yrs or so. I'm not sure my current set is the same quality my previous sets were.

In my opinion, the AT3s are better. And it seems that the quality of the BFG ATs have gone down hill over the years.

Buy them local. Yeah you may save a little money getting them online, but someone has to mount and balance them, and most offer free rotations and such. Worth it in my opinion.

Very good point. Yes they can be cheaper online but its the CS where the Mom and Pop places excel.I work at a wholesaler so no hooks ups from me.

I wish I had a store in Bham. The lifetime deal is only good at my place. I do recommend everyone finds them a independent tire store and use them. The other week when the temps were getting down to the low teens I grabbed a tester and went around town and stopped at a lot of my customers places of work and checked their cars and anyone else that wanted me to. I may not be able to beat the online prices but you can't call them when your wife is at the grocery store with a flat or dead battery and them drop everything and run out to go help them. How pissed would your wife be if she knew that she was stranded at the store for hours because you wanted to save $50 bucks? It is all about the customer service. Just remember no business is perfect, we all make mistakes. It is how you handle the problems that will define your true customer service.
