The Sticker thread got me thinking. How many of you rich guys have a "hunting truck" that is not your daily driver? Poor folks like me use the same truck for everything and ride around in a muddy truck all season.

I have a work vehicle I week, so I consider MY truck the "hunting truck" however it is used for other things.

Don't get to hunt anymore, so don't need a "hunting" truck. Just have my everyday truck.

Well I have been thinking about selling and maybe getting something different, if anybody knows of anyone looking. 1996 Dodge Ram 4x4 162,000 on the odometer. Pretty good truck, I have a leases in Greene County and live in Moody, so i drive it 200 miles there and back almost every weekend.

No rich guy at all,but I do have a hunting truck,I take it to the hunting camp and leave it for the season. Our roads are so bad I don't want to put my everyday truck in it.If you don't have a good 4x4 with at least 33" tires you better stay on the public road, and a winch is a good idea also.

Be safe & have fun

I ain't rich, but I have a daily driver duramax that stays muddy during hunting season and I also have an old bad boy buggy. Just recently bought a beater jeep wrangler to try and save my duramax from some abuse it gets hunting...

You lazy, terrible hunters. Probably don't walk 2.4 miles to your stand and ride around making noise, depositing fumes and scaring deer into the next county. grin

I don't like to get mud on my Range Rover, so I bought a new Z71, (complete with a SALT LIFE sticker) that I drive down the dirt road to the camp. However I don't want it to get "real" dirty so I don't take it to the woods. I bought a custom made stealth hunting cart for that. Complete with heated steering wheel and pedals. I also don't like stairs or cold so I had an escalator installed instead of stairs to the heated shooting house.

The sticker thread on GF and the cull buck thread on SDH had me thinking about this. Folks were teasing the OP about hunting out of a awd Acura that was a few years old and paid for.

I have been fortunate enough to have a nice four wheel drive truck all of my adult life. Well about three years ago the wife and I wanted to get her a new SUV but didn't want to have two vehicle payments. So we decided to sell my 08 F150 because we didn't want to trade it in and loose money on a new SUV.

The plan was that I would drive the ten year old Mazda tribute and of course she would drive the new SUV and it would be our traveling and family truck.

After we did this I felt like I lost part of my man hood from not having a pick up any more. Some of my friends called it the mom Mazda. I had to do something to it to fit me and my outdoor lifestyle.

So I found a off road store on the internet called rocky road outfitters. They sell lifts and springs for the ford escape which is identical to the Mazda suspension. I ordered a front lift that lifted the front 2 inches and installed it. I then put off road tires a roof rack and a class 2 trailer hitch to pull my 4 wheeler and trailer on it.

Even though its front wheel drive this light weight mini SUV with a v6 with handle some pretty rough mud holes and terrain. I keep a 4,000 pound come a long, shovel and enough HD ratchets and tow straps for just in case. I'm going to put a grill guard on it next and a winch.

I love being able to keep all my hunting gear in it with all the room it has. Never have to take my gear in and like I did with the truck during hunting season whenever we would go to Sam's or on a trip.

I have a work car for Monday through Friday. So yes I have a designated hunting truck and love it. Besides a dead deer don't care what it is riding home in.

1996 Ford explorer 4x4 223K hunting truck. Best $1000.00 I ever spent! I have had for seven seasons and it still keeps going. Keeps the Raptor from getting too dirty.

I drive a company truck and I'm to cheap to buy my own hunting truck. I have a 4 seat teryx but it stays on the trailer unless we are getting a deer out. I prefer to walk in and out. You miss to much stuff driving. Longet walk is a little over a mile 1 way.

I have an 2007 IS 250 as my everyday vehicle. I have a 97 regular cab F150 4x4 that is my hunting truck. I noticed the paint was getting pretty faded on the hood and roof so I told the wife that it may finally be time to get a new hunting truck.

I have 2 dedicated hunting trucks...... One jacked up jeep cherokee I leave at one lease.
Another more road worthy jeep cherokee I use to drive back and forth to my other lease and my hunting gear stays in it year round.

Im not rich, I just drive old paid for stuff and take care of it. Newest vehicle I own is over 10 years old.

I do get some strange looks when I pull up somewhere and get out of a truck covered with mud wearing a suit.

When I was deer hunting my gun and clothes stayed in my hunting truck and my trailer and wheeler stayed hooked up ready to go on a moments notice.

Just one daily driver/all purpose hunting truck. 04 Toyota 4-Runner 4x4 with 150K miles. No lift and just some A/T's. If the mud looks too thick I park it and enjoy the walk. It may become a full time hunting vehicle one day if I can afford another one. Then the lift kit, winch, mud tires, etc will be added. Wish I still had my 99 Tacoma for hunting truck.

Which time? Transfer case the first time and a new tranny the 2nd time. Truck had been taken apart at some point and wasn't put together right according to my mechanic. Was missing transmission mounts and some of the top bolts. Finally got it running right and don't have a need for it anymore....of course.

I'm not rich but I bought this 1987 Toyota 4x4 from a Aldeer member for $1,500. His grandfather bought it new and it only had 115,000 miles on it when I bought it. He gave me a old notebook where his grandfather had logged every oil change. I did some body work and put a Redneck paint job on it. Everything works on it from the AC to the tag lights! All it needs is the seat recovered and I plan on doing that soon. It has about 128,000 miles on it now.
I know most of y'all have seen it on here but I love this truck! smile

Daily Driver/work truck is a 07 Suburban 4x4. Hunting truck is a 97 Suburban 4x4 and a 91 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4. Hunting clothes and gear stay in the 97 Suburban hooked up to my fourwheeler trailer most of the time. I don't own any 2x4 vehicles.

I drive a work truck back and forth during the week. I've got a Honda accord that I drove when I didn't have a company truck. It just sits in the driveway now- I may put 1500 miles a year on it. My hunting truck/pulling the boat truck is a 88 K5 blazer. Its nothing super fancy, but its been paid for for a long time.

My hunting rig is a 1980 CJ7, with a 350 chevy and granny low 4 speed transmission, sitting on a set of 34" super swampers.

I love it, but with two small kids the thought of selling it keeps crossing my mind.

Im damn insurance poor because of vehicles.I got a 2010 tahoe ltz,2008 ford f350 4 door dually,a 95 rodeo,a 90 tracker and a 2013 ranger crew. The rodeo was my main hunting rig but i gotta get the tranny rebuilt.Trackers passenger side window got busted out a while back..(dumbass neighbor+ bigass zero turn+gravel drive= busted window hes gonna pay for) so i been hunting outta the dually when i hunt at the club or down the road on another property. If i hunt at the house im on the ranger.Far far far from rich..Actually sitting around trying to figure out how im gonna pay my power bill this month laugh Damn cold weather!!

Hunting, farming and everyday driver. Ppl at work say the can smell it.
This was last year, luckily I got a carrier for the back of the jeep so I don't have to do this anymore

Leaving work. I've seen deer 20 yards from it when the sun starts dropping... Maybe it blends in with the corn fields.

1996 Toyota 4-Runner 4X4. Bought brand new and it has 255000+ miles on it and I turned it into a hunting truck in 2002 and it's been put through pure hell and I can't kill it!!! After retirement and putting in the woods, I change the oil and do general maintenance once per year (not because of miles). It's quite and purrs like a kitten I am as impressed with this fine piece of machinery as anything. Salute Toyota!!!!!

Have a 2013 F-150 for daily driver. Had 1997 Tacoma extended cab to hunt out of but my son turns 16 Friday and it will be his daily driver. Now I'm hunting out of a 1973 CJ-5.

Daily driver and hunting rig.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
