One of the places I hunt is in Montgomery County off Hwy-231. At the time I joined this site - I also hunted Macon, Coosa, Crenshaw, and Autauga counties. When my wife would ask if I was hunting in Montgomery or somewhere else - I would say, "Yes, I am hunting 231."

My mother and her side of the family are Cajuns. They love nicknames and named me Leroy. I guess it could have been worse.

My best friend since childhood that taught me anything and everything about deer hunting that passed away five years ago would always ask me after hunting. Leroy did you see any bucks? And then he would smile. He never asked if I saw any deer just bucks. So its in his memory.
