No more than 5 rounds for deer, if I'm not mistaken.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Found it in the Q and A section

What is the maximum magazine capacity for hunting resident game on private lands? On WMAs?
On private lands there is no restriction on magazine capacity. On Wildlife Management Areas it is 10 rounds. (If it’s in the chamber, it isn’t the magazine.)

Mini 30's are completely illegal to hunt with on private or public land. All other semi autos are legal on any land except on public land you are limited to a 10 round magazine. It would probably be best if you just sold the mini 30...... smile

A very good example of how cut and paste beats taking somebody's word for it.

I knew the answer.........but let's split hairs a minute. Say you want to do some hog hunting on a WMA and want high capacity. It states the magazine can be no greater than 10 for hunting on the WMA. So, I guess you would be ok with a belt fed gun and link of say 500 rounds?

If you hunt, you need to know the rules.

Your wrong answer here wouldn't cause you to get a ticket, but guessing will get you into trouble sooner or later.

I never have more than 3 rounds in my gun while deer hunting. Don't even own a rifle that will hold more than 5. Maybe I was thinking about Florida. Hunt there also.

Hell, the last several years I've been on the single shot, (encore) bandwagon.

If it ain't made illegal by the plain language of a lawful rule or statute, it's legal ... period.

Let's split hairs a little more.

What is the public interest that is served by making it illegal to use firearms with a magazine capacity of more than ten rounds on one side of an imaginary red line in the woods when it is legal on the other side of that line?

Safety I would imagine. Right or wrong I wouldn't want to be in the woods with a bunch of strangers with 30 round magazines.

I don't think it is legal to hunt with a rifle during dog drives. If it is legal it is definitely dangerous as hell.

Might be dangerous where your hunting RM, where we're at you'd be better off with a flip & marbles than a shotgun with buckshot.
