You cant get in trouble because of what somebody said. Im sure it was a misunderstanding anyway. If that were the case then everybody that posts big bucks on here that have people say it was killed at night or over corn, and wasn't.. would all be in trouble...right?

Yes you can. You didn't say it. The other guy wanted everyone to know how intense the hunt was. He gave way too many details. If you think wardens an the dcnr don't keep up with this site you are mistaken.

It was SURELY a misunderstanding. There's NO such thing as a "silencer". Hasn't been invented yet. A "suppressor" is what was meant. Carry on.

And since it's in Etowah County you can bet the two wardens there will be doing some investigating.

I can think of only one reason someone would shoot a deer with a suppressed rifle.......

Suppressors are legal for hunting deer in several states and are gaining popularity. Suppressed does not mean "absolutely 100% quiet." There's still a sound but it's not as loud.

I wish they were legal to use here in Alabama for hunting. Maybe one day they will be.

Because out of all the people I know you would be one of them that would never night hunt with or without a suppressor.

Quietly killing animals at any time of day or night......Hopefully on their own property.....

Anyone that has used one knows they still make enough noise to spook game up close. Sure is nice on the ears too.

Hey y'all, this is the feller that got the stud I like to call the Lookout Mountain Swamp Donkey. I wish I could afford a suppressor and the tax stamp to legally own one and even have the gunsmith job done to my Remington 700 26in Bull barrel. I did not use one or do I hunt at night. I have let a lot of bucks walk over the years because of their age and size. All that waiting paid off on a 6 year old 12 point. If you let the young spikes up to small 8's walk they will get as big as this. That is why it is my first buck, and I sure am glad I have had the patients to wait for 15 or 20 years to get this mature buck.
