I didn't think there was anything in buttston but a jacked up water tank to fill fire trucks.  I forgot about speedys I use to eat there a lot when we hunted around there it's been at least 15 years. I miss hunting with those guys down there from Florida great way to start hunting.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Anybody remember the Capitol Inn in Montgomery? It's been 10 or more years but they use to have whole kitty's on the lunch buffet. Good stuff.

Years ago when I lived up near Locust Fork, in Blount County, we used to go to a place called Shaw's up in Holly Pond. They always had some damn fine catfish and hushpuppies. Been years since I've been through that area, not even sure if they're still open or even worth a chit. They are no longer open. Remember them well. My favorite catfish comes from Top Hat BBQ in Blount Springs. Loved going to the original Shaws as a kid. Liked throwing coins in that fish pool they had inside.

Another vote for Top of the River in Guntersville. The Riverboat special is all I ever get. I LOVE their cornbread. I hate their turnip greens. I prefer my greens without 1/2 a gallon of liquid smoke in them. Their slaw is good too.
