I was set up in the same stand that I shot the 8 point in a while back that I couldn't find. I had a smaller deer come in at 17 yds. There is a lot of does on the property I hunt so I decided to take her. It was a perfect, double lung shot. The G5 Monotech did it's job as did the nockturnal nock. Deer only went 30 yards and dropped. I get down from the stand and go over to it. It's a dad gum button buck. I can't win for losing but he will eat good.

Congrads on the first bow kill. Don't beat yourself up bout the button buck. Just enjoy your kill and the groceries.

Congratulations! A bowkill is a trophy regardless of what kind of deer.

Congrats on your first bow kill. Mine was a small spike about 13 years ago. I was as proud of it as any deer I have killed. Don't over complicate things and enjoy the times in the woods.

The only way to keep from killing button heads is don't shoot small deer. I'm just speaking from experience. I have killed several myself.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I've got some great hd footage of me taking the shot. I would post if I could figure out how.

Good deal buddy. Hope you have many more in the future.
