I retired the 1992 High Country Sniper this week and got the new Mathews Monster Chill. OH MY! I am sure I would love any of the new bows compared to what I had. As my kids got interested in bow hunting I dusted off the old bow and had it restrung a couple of years ago. I finally pulled the trigger on a new one and am shooting better groups the first day than I was with my old bow.

I am still getting the new bow dialed in. I have the HHA Optimizer DS 5519 sight and QAD ultra hdx rest. I have the equipment to shoot very tight groups I am just not there yet. I was determined to shoot a 2 inch group at 20 yards and would have one out of three a few inches off. after about 50 shots I turned the bag around to the deer side and shot vitals every time and then did the same at 30 yards and called it a night. The guys where I bought the bow said I should come back when I am pretty good at 20 and they will help me with 30, 40 etc. I am not sure what my question or my point is...I am just a little frustrated.

check your fletchings to make sure you don't need to index them a tad. number your arrows from most accurate to least.

Just gonna take a little time to get used to all of the new equipment. That was a helluva upgrade you made.

Never thought to number my arrows that's a great idea. It was always just one of the three that was off. Thank you.

Overstatement to say always but the times I felt like I was dialed in it was always one....
