I got Stony to make me three custom calls for the folks I hunted with in Ne. last year and man they were great! Thanks for a great product Stony!

I've got a feeling that extra you threw in there for me will cause one to loose his head this year!

Stony makes a good call. I bet a bunch of gobblers have lost there head to them.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

Thanks for the kind words Hank! It was my pleasure to build them for you and I am glad your friends liked them. I have been trying to get time to call you and make sure they made it on time, but it's been rough offshore this week. I'm working on a few new calls for this year. One in particular is gonna be the death of SOME gobblers!! I'll be sending a few out to my field testers in the near future. Thanks again for your business.

Stony

Stony's calls are awesome. 20 birds have met their maker since I started using his slate calls three seasons ago.

I often use several different calls on a setup, and I used Stony's slate on several turkeys last year. But there was one that I most definitely would not have killed without using his slate. I tried everything in my vest with no luck, but when I started purring on that slate he couldn't stand it.

edit: That was my first attempt at adding a pic since Skinny did the major do-over. So what did I do wrong? Everything looks correct.

Not sure where it came from, but "?t=1294177109" after .jpg at the end of the link needed to be removed for it to work correctly.

Good looking bird preacher.

Thanks Yekrut. I've no idea how that got in there. I right-clicked on the pic on Photobucket and clicked "copy image url" and then pasted it here. I just tried to do the same and paste it into Word Pad and it wasn't there. Crazy things happen when I try to post pics.

Well, that is a pic of a turkey that might still be alive if it weren't for Stony's call. And also TSS. smile That was the one turkey I killed last year that I would not have killed with lead.

I could have done without you in the picture, I had a mental image of you being much younger and better looking for some reason laugh

I still have a stony slate call and used to have a glass call, but the guy we hunted with in FL last year liked it so much I gave it to him to use.

>>>I could have done without you in the picture, I had a mental image of you being much younger and better looking for some reason<<<

LOL - I don't know where you got that idea; I'm an old man. Didn't all my turkey stories from the 60s give you a clue that I am well past "young"? smile

And with age, I'm also getting senile. I just realized that pic is of the wrong turkey. I don't know how that one got into the album, but he is not the one I killed in GA. What the heck, a turkey is a turkey. And I did call to him with Stony's call too.

You can get started by looking at his website, that is what I did when I ordered mine. I got the new crystal last year, I'm still trying to get the hang of it, but think it will be a great addition to my other calls. Just wish the funds were there to try one of his slates from all the responses I read on here.

A custom call with your picture(and yes I can put any picture under the glass)is $45 and a call with a decal that I already have is $40. Just email me the picture you want to use and I'll make it.

I still use one of his slate calls as my primary. I'll take the copper call to Kansas because that sucker is loud and great for windy conditions.

He gave me a slate call to evaluate when he first started and I've used it exclusively until this season when I ran over it. Best sounding call I've used. Ill need to get me a new one soon.

I bought a glass call from Stony over 10 years ago and it’s been the death of many a bird. Killed one with it last week. He makes a fine call. 👍🏼
