Time to buy a new target. What do you guys recommend that does not cost an arm and a leg that will stop arrows from a bow and crossbow?

The cube target from walmart, 39 bucks, will stop broadheads or field points from my xbow @340fps or my compound.

Back when I was a kid my dad had 2 huge plain white Styrofoam blocks that worked great for fieldpoints or broadheads, I been on the lookout for something like that, figure it would be alot cheaper than a bow target off a shelf from a store.

Go to a tractor supply store. They get their utility trailers in, on flatbed trucks. They use Styrofoam blocks to separate the trailers. Ask if they have any laying around. The store in Montavallo has them out back.

How hard is it to get the arrow out of the Rinehart?

The Rineharts are easy to get arrows out of. The blob targets are good if you can get one that's properly made. Most of the ones I've seen lately are either too soft or a bitch to get carbons out of. I had a good one. It lasted through about 5 years of broadhead practice. The layered targets like the Block are nice and very easy to get arrows out of. But, they will not hold up very well when shooting fixed heads and you wind up with a mess in your yard.

Not sure about crossbow arrows, but what i use is a cardboard box, stuffed with used shrink wrap, (like is around pallets)wad it up in a cardboard box and it will stop a 320fps arrow at 10 yards dead in its tracks.
Better yet, you can pull it out with two fingers. This works for field points. I've shot it with expandable broadheads and it stops them the same but is a biotch to remove them from the plastic.
Any warehouse should have plenty of this in their dumpsters.
