This is a good video for young or new hunters to watch and see how the doe's will react and alert you that a buck or another deer is near the green field.

So their white tails stick up like an erection? Sluts!

J/K but it's interesting to see that they are highly aroused

Good video. That brings back memories of when I was a kid. When they all looked up and stared, I knew something else was coming in, and it excited the crap out of me. Still does to an extent, either in the woods or on a field. I hate for them to get real nervous like that though. I feel like in another year or so, that buck probably wouldn't come out there because of the nervousness of the other deer, unless of course one of them were in heat. I may be wrong, but to me, an older buck would either wait til 10pm to come out there, or just go elsewhere to eat. It kinda lowers my confidence to see deer get real nervous like that and make a big deal about something, but that's just part of it I reckon.

There actually was a doe that buck was trailing. I just never could get here on film because she took off back in the woods before i could get on her with the camera. That's when the buck went back in the woods chasing her again. There was actually 7 doe's in the plot at one point. I am in total agreement with u though. My plan of attack this year is going to be hunting with a climber on trails on the outskirt of the food plots and creek bottoms.

It would be nice if hunters around my area would video bucks like that rather than dropping them at first sight. Just give them one more year.

I'm assuming the doe that was so attentive and went out into the field to investigate was the matriarch?

I was wondering the same thing. Sure would like to know what she thought she was gonna do. Gonna have to ask my brother if he remembers how far she went, and how close did she get to the other doe and buck. Got me curious now.

I would tend to agree with that theory.

Also you know when you have set up in the perfect spot, with the perfect wind somewhere you've been itching to hunt? Then just as its starting to loose light and you hear the deer coming one blows so loud it almost knocks you out of the stand and deer scatter like ants.....thats her.
