That's what my Dad wore every day, overalls and a white T shirt. When he died my Mom bought him a new pair to be buried in.

I killed a 58" at the house about 4 years ago 5 rattles and a button. Was some fine eating I never thought about filleting the bone out I'll have to try it.

You expect me to believe that tiny plate is your's Cuz? The only rattlesnake I've ever ate was that one you cooked up at Philip's. Ain't no way in hell my ol' lady would let me fry up a snake in the house. She would freak.

I've kill some whoopers down here at my place. The longest was 66", but it was a male and was no where near that thick. We killed two last year that were 54". One had 10 rattles and the other 14. I killed this one in my backyard about 10 or 11 years ago. It was 56" long but only had 6 rattles.

Cuz-Pat -- I have to admit that this is one of the best threads ever on ALDEER. I was also going to say something about your neighbor's well worn Liberty overalls, but Dustin has already covered it well enough.

I used to wear Liberty overalls quite a bit around the house and for outdoor work because two of my grandfathers always did, but I cannot describe to y'ouns how much my wife hated overalls on me. She's not crazy about me at my best, but overalls just drove her bat**** for some reason.

Looks delicious! It ALMOST makes me want to come across one to kill and eat...almost!

There is no comparison to eating the boneless meat. They have way too many rib bones for me to ever fool with one without boning it out.

Next time you get one, bone it out and then clean it up by removing all the sinew, the stuff that some folks call silver-skin in deer meat. It makes all the difference in how it taste and in the tenderness of the meat.

That was just my first plate.

My wife was right beside me helping out with the deep frying. She ate her fair share too.
