Our club in North Monroe County is looking for a few new members for 2013/14 and beyond. Economic realities have forced a few long term members out and we would like to replace them with quality individuals.
We have 1500 acres located about midway between Beatrice and Franklin. This land is hilly, with ridges of varying grades covered in mature hardwoods, and your typical pine in various stages of growth in more flat locations. There is a large creek that makes a border of about a mile on the property, so we have water year round. There are 14 moderate food patches, no big fields, but they are productive. We do have plenty of deer and more hogs than we would like sometimes. The turkey hunting blows but they are on the property. We shoot 6pt or better and try to take 3-4 does per member each year.
Camp facilities are directly adjacent to our lease and include a 3br/1ba cabin with kitchen. A few private cabins and camper hookups. There is a covered skinning shed with automatic winches, and a 100 rifle range. Power, water, Sat TV.
Dues look to be $1350, 1200 or lower if we can get membership where we want it. We have a cap of 13 max members but most of us would rather have only 10-11.
Wives and dependent children hunt under your membership. Guest fees are only $25 per day.

Still looking. If you are interested in hunting this area you will be hard pressed to find better land and amenities at this price. With the exception of turkey, which we do have, game is abundant and relatively unpressured.

One membership has been filled. We are still looking for one, maybe two, more.
