I have just started to hunt southern Bibb county near the Chilton line and wanted to ask some questions. Obviously at least what I have seen including today, the rut has not started there. I think the bucks are ready but the does for the most part are not. My question to anyone who may know, is when does it typically start in this area? I have hunted Autauga and Elmore in the past few years and it seems in Elmore county it is around the second week of January, and in Autauga towards the later part of Jan. As I am new to the area I just wanted to know if there is a difference. Seeing a lot of scrapes and rubs but nothing in the scrapes. Thanks,
