Always, when i buy a new climber i make sure it has a bar on all sides. Dont have any open front stand . I use rifle rest to put my head on. The apple didnt fall far from the tree, picked my son up sat. ,ask him did he see anything, he said no he put his head on the gun rest and woke up atleast 45 minutes later. grin

The question should be do you ever not sleep in your climber. Lol. I work the graveyard shift and hunt a lot after I get off work, killed many big ones but I think I have slept in every kind of stand you can think of but always seem to wake up when something is around. I think it's my sixth sense.

I used to quite often, but I got contacts for the first time this year and learned real quick that you don't sleep in them.

If you lived closer I'd swap you. I've got two. This one has the bow platform.

I've seen the pictures from your perch after climbing a tree in your socks. There is NO WAY I would sleep on some of the limbs you climb.

Probably more than the stands are worth. I have no plans to get rid of it - if you are around the Montgomery area in the next 7-9 months, just let me know. I love the stands, but they weigh a ton. They are the kinda stand that you put on a tree and leave it there for the entire season.

Please wear a safety harness if you use a climbing stand. The small investment and little time it takes to use one is definitely worth your health and life.

I wear one from the ground up and back to the ground....and with that said, if you don't wear one I am more safe sleeping in my climber than you are hunting in yours.

Please wear a safety harness.

I only sleep 3-5 hours a night during the week. So on the weekends if I get still [like in a treestand] I fall asleep pretty quickly. You can deprive your body of many things but rest is not one of those things. It will catch up to you sooner or later. That said, there is no telling how many times I have awakened to the sound of a stick breaking or water sloshing, or leaves rustling, and killed a deer or two, then nodded back off. I'm sure that I have done this at least 15-20 times.

Do you really sit all day? I have a dozen times or so, but it is very very rare that I will be in a tree from daylight to dark. Oddly enough I did it yesterday, yesterday was the only day this season I was in a tree the complete amount of daylight.

If I fell asleep in my climber I would run every deer within a 3 mile radius away with my snoring. Just asked my dear wife! Most mornings I get up she is on the sofa.
