we see more deer in general in the mornings, including bucks. But during the chasing phase of the rut, when we typically see the most shooters, there seems to be no difference between morning and afternoon. That being said I like morning a lot more...we see deer from first light to 11:00 so it's more exciting. Afternoons, if I get in the stand at 3:30 I know there is a 90% chance that I'm only going to see deer the last 30 minutes so the first hour and half is pretty uneventful.
