I made a rookie mistake this morning. Me and a buddy decided to hunt the last day of flintlock season on Wheeler Refuge today. I get to the spot I'm going to hunt, sit down and cool off from the walk in. I unzip my back pack and I notice its nor there. Does anyone want to guess what I didn't bring? Oh heck I will go ahead and tell you....I forgot my brand new, never been open can of Copenhagen in the truck.
Oh well, you learn from your mistakes.... I will just chalk that one up as a rookie mistake.
I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

Not as bad as I thought. I thought you were going to say you left percussion caps or something.

So did you just pick up a wad of decaying leaves and stuff them in your mouth? It would have tasted the same, maybe even better! The real question is did you see or kill anything?

I seen 5 this morning but nothing since. I did finally cave in and went to the truck around 1pm. I'm back at a different spot now with about 40 minutes of daylight left....maybe something will come creeping thru. By the way.... I didn't forget the Copenhagen this time

Sounds like it would have been a good day to quit dipping for good!
