Sitting in a tripod overlooking a powerline/road to camp can see over 700yds. Saw 2 does & a spike yesterday pm. Cool frosty morning hope a big gun will cross looking for the ladies. Good luck to all.

I just got off work. Gonna try to hunt a few hours then go back to bed for night shift. Chose a close spot to parking area that nobody hunts. I have seen deer cross here but to far to tell what they were. Problem is most cross after 9. Won't be able to stay that long but I may learn something new.

I could have had a shot at the Superdome this morning. It was a couple hundred yards away, but I think I could have hit it.

I slept in thinking I would stay later since I didn't see good movement early yesterday. I got in stand at 9 and at 9:15 had a spike come by. I might have messed up sleeping in based on all the movement y'all have seen early.

You got it Bigt grin So far it's not working out to good for me. The spike is only deer I've seen. Our winter wheat fields were full of deer last night when I went to town for something to eat. I had two nice bucks cross in front of me and I could see several other deer in the field. I know movement was early yesterday afternoon. I saw most of my deer between 3 and 4.

My plan of sleeping in and hunting from 9 - 1 isn't working out very well. I've got a camera 30 yards from my stand. I'm scared to check it because there was probably a sad daddy passed by before I got here smile

Well only saw one spike. I'm fixing to climb down check camera, grab a sandwich and pick a afternoon spot. I'll update once on stand for the afternoon hunt.

Set up on a food plot next to some planted pines off. Saw 3 dogs when I got here. I guess we'll see if they affect the deer.

Back in the same plot as yesterday, above the 2 creeks. Brother saw 7 does and a nice 8 not to far from here yesterday pm. I saw what looks like where 2 bucks were fighting on the road as I was coming to plot. The rd was tore up bad in 2 places. Looked like they got it on pretty good.

They are moving again early afternoon. I have a small buck on the field now. The good news is I didn't have a sad daddy on camera while I was getting my beauty sleep this morning smile My service sucks so no sure how much updating I'll be doing.

Pike co. In a hardwood bottom bout 250 yards from a greenfield, rubs and scrapes everywhere, so far nothing but turkeys and tree rats

I'll be at it again in the morning. Hopefully another cold, calm morning.
