After a week of seeing good bucks here in dallas county just about every time I go in the woods this week, I shot a broken up 8pt running through the woods this morning. I never got a good look at him but I could see rack coming through the trees. When I shot, I centered a 4" sapling that broke the bullet up into a bunch of pieces. Looks like I sprayed him with buckshot. He ran about 75 yards and piled up. I went on to what I call the whorehouse and saw a spike and a doe, then went back to get the deer. I ran off a good buck right next to him. heard 62 shots this afternoon. Most were around 4:15.

62 shots???? I'd never have tried to count em all!!!!

I hate dogs

My wife shot a buck at 5:12, she thought it was a tall 7 or 8 point. She said he looked hit good and having a hard time getting to the woods. Found specks of blood every 2 feet or so then lost it eventually. Made big circles but couldn't find it, will be going back in the morning and hoping to find it.

I got an 8 pt about 4:30. He came out in the field that already had two does in it. They were about 400 yards from me, and he stepped out about 100 yards from me. Bang flop! He had broken G2 & G3 on his right side, and broken main beam on his left. His neck was swollen and all skinned up from what looked like fighting. His tarsals were dark and stinking! This was the same field that I saw 15 yesterday and some small bucks chasing. He's Not a wall hanger, but a good buck and my first of the season

My son, Seth, got a nice one about 30 minutes ago. He and his buddy, Anthony, are gone to get him out now. He said he was in hot-pursuit of a doe and grunting every breath. Missing brow tines, But, still a 7pt.

Good lawd, some deer died yesterday!
