300+ yards with a muzzle loader? Is that normal? I have one and 150 seems like a long way to me. Get a dog to go find him in the morning....meat should be fine.

Yeah, that's a long shot, but have my gun set up that way. I have that shot behind my house. 300+ yards with a muzzle loader? Is that normal? I have one and 150 seems like a long way to me. Get a dog to go find him in the morning....meat should be fine.

Dropped my rifle a few days ago. Haven't had a chance to check my scope. Not trying to start an argument, but why are you using a muzzle loader at that range? I understand some of them will make that shot, but for me that's a long shot with my .280 and 25 power scope. Just asking, not trying to argue. Hope you find him.
