Had a great afternoon hunt! I saw 14 does and fawns and 3 bucks including this feller that hung around all afternoon. But, at the end........I tried to force a shot through some limbs on the left side of the field in front of the shooting house at a STUD! I had watched him push a doe and make scrapes for over 10 minutes waiting on him to clear the limbs, but light was fading fast! I know I had it right on him; high shoulder shot at about 90 yds. I have not found the deer, blood, or nothing yet, though.......makes me sick!

I hear ya! I don't see that many all the time either!!! Pretty big field and the water is up. So, it was a pretty good day. You can see in this pic that I should have cleared out more of the young oaks on the left before Season.......

Couldn't be true..Hunting in Alabama sucks!! Hope ya find him tomorrow! LOL Thanks. I sure hope I find him. This sucker was really nice. Pretty sure it was the big wide 11 pt that I was getting pics of in velvet. I couldn't see the G2 kicker. But, I know he had 3 standing points on each main beam. So, if he had brows, he was at least a 10. Long beams and heavy........I hope this doesn't turn out to be one of those memories that haunts you for years!

Next time just carry a pair of pruning sheers. Mine fit in my pocket. Snip those little shoots on the way in to your set up...deer will have no idea and you'll have clear fields of fire!
