1. Dye is not pulling the strings as some suggest. Just consider him your crazy, drunk uncle. Last I checked, Mal Moore is the AD at bama...where he coached under Bryant. The GOB network is everywhere.

2. Ethridge is supremely qualified....unlike that idiot Jacobs

Doesn't appear to be the type person, that would hire Petrino.

Six Sigma is great if you are building vacuum cleaners.
It's probably pretty good if you are building a football team to suck too.

He needs to come in and hire a football coach and let him coach while he directs the athletic department.

My point exactly. Identify the causes and improve the process.
#1 - let the coach be coach (100%) and AD be AD.

Well, if they're hiring an AD...chiz is gone. This is the sign i was watching for. There was no sense in firing the coach and having the AD that hired him remain.

I assumed that Ethridge would be hired after jacobs was fired. I do not see them firing chiz first. That was the reasoning of my first post. The tell tell sign that chiz is gone will be the firing of jacobs.

People can claim Dye isn't involved in the football program all they want but it's simply not true. How does a former coach that supposedly doesn't have anything to do with the program know the parents of most of the players and what kind of people they are. Dye is very much involved and untill auburn makes Dye leave the football program alone auburn will be stuck in this cycle

Doesn't dye still have an office on campus? I have also heard that they have recruiting dinners at his farm..and if any good ol country boys are being recruited...can actually do some hunting.

Unfortunately, Dye was not coaching these kids.

Chizick and company were supposed to be!

But, by watching so, it is painfully obvious that they are not capable of doing the job. They actually look WORSE than they did when they started!!!!

That's what happens when they players quit the coach. I know for a fact that the majority of the players do not like Chizik, and have gone so far as to tell potential recruits that they do not want to be at Auburn while on official visits. Things are much worse than just the season record.
