Saturday I went to a new area and found a nice shed right beside an area were they are scraping and playing around so I put a stand up and hunted it Tuesday morning. No deer came through so I spent the middle of the day scouting. I wanted to go to my spot down by the creek where I saw the big one last year on opening day but by the afternoon I was soaked with sweat so I decided I would just slip in and pull the card from my camera, slip out and wait until this weekend to hunt it. Wellll lookie what I found on my camera. It looks like I have one to go after this year. Now if I can just keep from running him off.

Oh yea Shhhhhhhhhh! I aint telln a soul except you guys.

No luck guys. Acorns everywhere!!!!!!

No luck here either. Since it was windy yesterday I spent the whole day walking different areas scouting. I found a couple of jamb up places for rifle but I'm having trouble gettn on em with a bow.

I let us down on points this past weekend.
Had two chances... shot over first doe at 23yds and under second doe at 30yds.
Found out my pendulum site doesn't shot the same at 15 feet high as it does at 30. I practice at fifteen and because I was climbing in a more open are, I climbed to about 30... Clean miss at 23...right over her back.
Then that afternoon, I only climbed 15 but under judged the distant and aimed low at the heart and shot clean underneath.
I have it figured out now... Just need one more chance.

Ive only got to hunt one day so far guys, been working 60 hours a week since opening day work should slow up in a few weeks then Im going to start putting them on the ground

Good job on the kill, I hunted Sat and Sun but did'nt see anything.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been checking in much. I have only been in the woods 3 times so far this season. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can get out more. Next week I have to make a trip to Canada for my work. After that maybe things will get back to normal. Good luck to all of you.

I just can't find one I want to shoot yet. Saw several small bucks and just does in places where I didnt want to take a shot to mess up the meat (I only want neck or head shots on does). Look what I found on my camera today.

Been a tough year so far. I finally shot a 7 point Thrusday to fill my freezer and to give us a few points. Now I'm lookn for the Big Boys - Come on January.

been tough for me too, hunted alot and let a little buck walk and seen just a few does, have'nt even pulled the trigger yet. January is usually when the best hunting is anyway where i hunt

Congrats on the kills guys. It's been a tough year for me too. I've only been able to hunt about 1/4th of the time as I usually do. Only seen 5 deer this season. Maybe I'll be able to get out a few days during the Christmas holidays. Good luck to you all.

I killed a messed up broke rack 5 point Ill get the picture up soon prob only get points as a 3 point since 2 are broke off, he's not the one Im after but Ive hunted way to many days not to pull the trigger on one so Im happy with him.

Haven't seen a deer in the last 7 hunts. SUX!!!!!!!!

Finally got us a few points. Been a hard season for me.
