Don't know about lost, but someone fell out of a stand yesterday up there and was injured. Didn't get him out of the woods untill late last night.

That's what I figured two dogs. I personally don't see how you can get lost out there. I figured someone fell, I don't have any more info on it tho. Guy I work with is a volunteer fireman at High Top or Crow Mt., he went out and helped with the call. Said he didn't get home till early this AM. Guy got a ride on Med-Flight.

That's bad.A harness may be uncomfortable but I am sure a neck brace would be too

I will take a harness made out of logging chain rather than risk injury no matter how small the injury

It would be very easy to get hurt up in those mountains....step on a slippery/moving rock and watch how fast the back of your head meets the ground....I'm amazed that I've never broken a leg or wrist as much as I've fallen down up there.

Dad clean broke his leg in 2 places a couple of years ago. He was just walking on a downhill logging road with a heavy stand and pack on his back, slipped on a wet rock that he didn't see due to the leaves, and folded his leg up under him. Obviously, there is plenty of danger without even leaving the ground. No sense in adding more danger by being unsafe in a treestand.

slipped on a wet rock that he didn't see due to the leaves Leaves and rocks, especially wet ones, suck. I slipped on a wet leaf and rock a few years ago turkey hunting out around New Hope. Fell forward, down hill. When I landed, my right hand was about three inches from a jagged sapling stob and my head was about five inches away on the other side of it. That bothered me worse than falling. Hope the Skyline hunter is OK. Y'all be sure to wear a harness.

Yea, the first thing I do now when I get out of the truck is put on my harness. I may pee first but you know what I mean. I can't beleive that for years I tied a rope around my waist and tied the other end to the tree I was sitting in. Wow!

He is a Tim (the tool man) Taylor no matter what he does. He is as dangerous as a cocked gun, no doubt.

Any new developments with the missing hunter?
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
