shot a 12 the other day, not bad
saw that they also offer it in a 20g for 399.00 at academy and the reviews on the gun were good.
Anyone have one or have opinions on them?

I want one in a 20. Thats my opinion.

Ive done alot of research on them and too have seen good reviews. only bad is they are light and STOMP in a 12ga and if you have ever handled one you will notice they are a little stiff on the barrel break but most say is loosens up over time. For the $$ though I think they are sweet guns. I wouldnt expect a 400$ gun to be as smooth as a Citori...noone should.

PCP has the 20ga SXS, also had it tricked out by Sumtoy Customs. He can tell you what you need to know about the gun.

You should be able to do a search here and find lots of info, there have been several threads on Yildiz.

I have the 12 ga O&U and love mine. I've thought about getting a Sims recoil pad for it though laugh

We have a 20ga youth model. I've been pleased so far.
Here's a good Yildiz forum: http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewforum.php?f=104

Bought my wife a Youth 20 O/U back in August. I would highly recommend them and the shotgunworld.com forum is where I did my reseach as well. People in Turkey must have arms like giants, the length of pull on those guns seemed extremely long.
The first thing we did was cut the stock and added one of the new Kickeez "Dual Action" recoil pads. Now she wants to go to the skeet range every week.

I'm at the farm and having to type this on the phone, so I gotta be brief. But I did buy a sxs 20 gauge for a turkey gun. Had the barrels cut to 24", forcing cones opened, and SumToy chokes made. It weighs just over 5 lbs and throws great patterns, but it won't shoot to poa with the heavy Tss loads. Right barrel shoots right and left barrel shoots left. I'm having eccentric chokes made to correct it.

This is not the fault of the fun, just the nature of a sxs. It is regulated for light field loads and shoots them fine. If you are wanting a gun for wing shooting, the Yildiz will be hard to beat for the money.

Why a sxs for a turkey gun? WOuldn't an O/U be a better choice if shooting a double? (and even though I now shoot a Beretta 3.5" auto I still think a short barreled 870 is the best turkey gun ever YMMV )

I've been doing some searches on the family that manufactures these shotguns and I can't find what I'm looking for.

Does anyone know if these are made by Muslim Turks or Christian Turks?

Why? Cause I wanted one. Killed my first squirrel with a SXS Win 410 a long time ago, and have liked the SXS guns ever since. An O/U would surely be a more practical choice, though you are likely to still have some poa/poi issues. They will just be up/down instead of R/L.

Most of what I know about them came from here:

And also the Yildiz forum on Shotgunworld.com.
