I shot a huge buck yesterday evening. Got a good pass through, shot was a little high. I looked for him til 1:00 a.m. this morning and went back around 7:00 this morning and stayed all day. He bled good for about 100 yards and then just a drop or two here and there. He went for about a mile and then nothing. It came a storm last night and that's why I tried to find him last night before the storm. Had plenty of help but we couldn't find him. I have made a shot like that on a doe before and later got pictures of her and eventually killed her with the scar from the earlier bow season. I just hope he will do the same. He was huge and I had tons of trail cam pics of him, just makes me sick.

Good news. Checked my camera today and the big deer I shot and couldn't find was on it yesterday morning. You can see the wound on both sides, right behind the shoulder blade and just below the spine. He looked like he lost a little weight but other than that looked good.

OK guys. I missed a doe last week with the bow. I have spent most of the spare time this week getting ready for my trip to Nebraska. We will be leaving Thursday morning. I am going to try and send some "Live from the stand" updates. Can I email or text pics to any of yall to upload for me?

Guys I got us some points this morning. It was 19 degrees and wind blowing about 30mph, here in Nebraska. I killed a 9 point. You can see a pic of it on the serious talk, Live From Nebraska.

I have not been able to close the deal with the cross bow saw a few does and had a really nice buck at 25 yards but he knew something was wrong and circle me and that is all it took. He never really spooked. Maybe Thursday or Friday with the smoke pole. Cannot hunt like I normally do because of some problems with my heart surgery in May that caused some damaged to nerves in my leg when they went looking for a piece of equipment that broke off in my leg while they were retrieving the veins but still gonna go just cannot walk a lot but I can sit in a tree.
