Demotivated. I’ll probably drag myself out there tomorrow though. Mainly I want to pull down a limb that swaying in front of my camera and triggering a ton of pics.

No turkey sounds were heard. Found some fresh gobbler tracks. I keep telling myself that tomorrow is the day they will act right.

Speaking of fresh tracks...

My hunt on Monday went like this. Took kids to school and got to woods at 8:30. Set up in a burn and soft called for a hour. Heard something walking in the creek bottom to my left. Never heard it get close though and never heard any turkey noise. After a hour I moved out and walked further down a logging road that was about 20 yards behind me. Didn't see any tracks. Walked down that logging road several hundred yards and came back. Right behind where I was set up initially, fresh tracks crossing the road. Either I walked over those tracks and didn't see them, or that gobbler walked by after I walked off. These birds are infuriating. It's as if they don't want to die. Lol

Heard one gobble 5-6 times on the roost got within 100 yards of him and setup. Then the ladies started answering him. He hit the ground and never said another thing. Gonna try a different spot in the morning. Good luck fellas

It is a nice morning here. But with all the kids activities and work I needed a couple more hours of sleep thus morning. Maybe Thursday or saturday I'll get a chance.

Dang, y'all need to get out there. Wind is nothing today in South Alabama.

Wasn’t super excited but had time for a quick hunt. Me and a buddy went with no expectations. Heard 5 different birds lighting the woods up and as soon as their feet hit the ground it’s like they got sucked into a black hole. No peeps or sounds after that. Got us excited for nothing.

Had to work this morning. Went out after 2 and made a few sits. Get back to the house do a few things. About 4:30 I crack a beer and go sit on the back porch and a few minutes later. I hear one gobbling right behind the house. I throw my crap back on and go to the plot between him and the house. He’s still gobbling pretty good but he stayed in the bottom. Must have been rounding up his hoes for the night. Guess that will be where I start in the morning before I have to work. They have kicked my teeth in this season.

Congratulations Ridge!

I had a silent gobbler pitch down to me late... it was a cluster. He landed about 20 yards from me in the road. Of course my gun is in my lap because the 2 turkeys I was calling to were still 300 yards away had been in the ground for 20 minutes. Stupid birds.
