That sure is a good beard. Congratulations! Nice bird!
Best one I had was a Public Land Bird from several years ago.
12" beard 1 1/2" spurs. About as a good off the roost hunt I've had. I know people will say otherwise, but I had that bird at 40 yds the year before in the same area. That joker was slick. He would roost off a decently traveled gravel road. He could see and hear around him for 200 yds. If you know anything about Blackwater State Forest, there are plenty of open areas and roads. Had to get that one mounted.
