I've killed 3 in my life that were 12 inches. This one was 12 1/4.

That sure is a good beard. Congratulations! Nice bird!

Best one I had was a Public Land Bird from several years ago.

12" beard 1 1/2" spurs. About as a good off the roost hunt I've had. I know people will say otherwise, but I had that bird at 40 yds the year before in the same area. That joker was slick. He would roost off a decently traveled gravel road. He could see and hear around him for 200 yds. If you know anything about Blackwater State Forest, there are plenty of open areas and roads. Had to get that one mounted.

Very awesome OlTimer - bigger rope than any i killed - congrats

Its extremely easy to track certain birds from year to year Zgobbler - done it for decades. Some you cant differentiate amd some u can! Rookies are folks that realky dont know a lot - will say otherwise. Their ignorance is bliss 🀣🀣

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self

I have never killed one like that. Killed two in South Montgomery off two different places with 1.5" spurs but never killed a beard over about 11" and it was pencil thin. Congrats!
