There are several really good starters. Someone mentioned the Perdomo champagne. I would look at the Oliva Connecticut, Romeo Julieta 1875 reserve, Monte Cristo Classic, Henry Clay Warhawk, Southern Draw Rose of Sharon. I really like all of those cigars. and they’re all mild.

My fav is the Rose of Sharon.

Whew, pot smoking threads aren't this controversial. I get people who believe that smoking is nasty and dangerous, but I'm not talking about puffing on one cigar on Saturday nights. Not smoking cigarettes by the pack.

Heck I won't live 50 more years. Be lucky to make it to 70.

YW. I got into it about a year ago. I smoke probably 3 a week. It’s relaxing. I really try to pay attention when I smoke a stick and see what flavor notes I can pick out. Just remember to toast the foot and light it evenly to prevent tunneling. If it starts burning unevenly. Touch it up. If it starts getting bitter or tasting bad, you’re smoking it too fast.

Um, whatinthecornbreadhell does that mean?? LOL I think I can extrapolate but not sure. Does that mean to burn the end before you light it?

Worked a hard day. Unwinding on the porch right now with a good stogie.

Correct. You kiss the foot of the cigar with the flame to get it hot. I’ll include a link so you’ll know what I’m talking about.

You might also try an Arturo Fuente Especial. I suggest purchasing single cigars until you find something you really like. You will save money, in the long run, buying a humidor and purchasing cigars by the box.
Highly important to smoke the cigar slow. Once you get one too hot you might as well throw it away.

Oh one other thing that’s important. When you cut the cap. Make sure you have the thickness of about a dime or a little less. You cut it too deep and the wrapper leaf will unravel on you. Other than cutting and lighting. The rest is for you to enjoy how you want. It’s meant to be relaxing so don’t rush it.

Romeo y Julieta’s are nice cigars to start with Fur. Montecristo and H Upmann are good too

A good cigar smoked right can last you a hour. They are never as good when you smoke some of it and re light it later.

Maybe try a pipe? I know pipe tobacco comes in some nice smelling aromas.

When I was in High School and we needed cigars to play poker it was always Muriel Magnums. My guess is they are still considered some of the finest around. lol

It will probably be ok to just smoke one, as long as you don’t like it. Man I’ll tell you nicotine in any form would have me smoking like a freight train. But when I did just cheap BLK plain was my favorite

The day I retire I’m gonna roll me some Colombian gold. Sit on the back porch and tell them piss on your drug test.

Man...quit being a little girl and go to any store and buy you a pack of original Swisher's and be done with it.

Unless you're black then go for the black and milds.

I started smoking Tamp Nuggets, Tampa Sweets, White Owls, and anything else on the shelf at 7yrs old

They all taste good if you like tobacco

Difference is with a real cigar. They’re hand made and rolled with only tobacco leaf. I’m not quite sure what’s in a swisher sweet.

Factory Smoke. Best cheap cigar I’ve ever had and have about 20 in my humidor even though I haven’t had a cigar in two years.

Sorry Jake. Whenever I have a house full of unwelcome guests, I pull out a previously concealed White Owl, and fire it up.
It never fails to clear the house. smile Folks inclined to smoke cigars should at least try some Grenadiers or something decent.
We always stole the best even as kids.
