I would never eat deer meat that came from a CWD deer. Pretty dumb if they knowingly consumed the meat. Why risk it??

I don't see how you could find out in time. You kill deer, clean it and butcher it. Send head or brain off to be tested, wait a little while. I guess you could quarantine your meat, but....

Was it a case of knowing they were in a cwd rich area and just disregarded it (“pshaw, nobody’s ever gotten sick”) or just didn’t know from ignorance of the cwd prevalence?
