Last month you could have caught all the squid you wanted at the local piers. Same will hold true of cigar minnows soon. Go on and catch some!! I’d love to pay you rather than the price gouging places on the water. Most places we stay I can catch live bait off the green light before daylight. Hope to not stop at the bridge or jetties….

I understand your frustration about the squid business, but if you would like an explanation why, please call me at 251 978 3942. It’s a very complex business I’ve been dealing with for the last fifteen years since the tuna wranglers started up in New Zeland and Australia. I hate bidding three dollars a pound for something that was fifty cents twenty years ago, but most of our customers are appreciative to have CA liligo calamari grade instead of crap grade Illax east coast stuff.
